INOSIM Software GmbH (INOSIM) is a German software company, developing and distributing software and services since 2003. Its software products are used in all fields of process industries with its main market in the chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Due to its historical background, INOSIM has strong abilities in the material flow and logistical analysis of production processes and is market leader in this field. In recent research activities, the software solutions have been extended from material flow analysis to process engineering simulation of biochemical processes

 

Relevant network and experience in National and European projects

Within several cooperative research projects, INOSIM has developed and implemented methods and functions for advanced process simulation with focus on the resource efficiency in the biochemical process industry. Due to this cooperative approach, all development was driven by industrial demands and approved at real production cases with significant success. The latest research project “INOSIM Bio” (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research: CLIB2021 Framework) ended in December 2012 and builds a strong basis for the scientific targets of chemical process modelling in the TOP-REF project

 

Principal team members involved in TOP-REF

Mr. Peter Balling has a diploma in computer science and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of software sales, development, and research. He is the founder, owner, and CEO of INOSIM, and major driving force of INOSIM’s customer related product development.

Dr. Michael Günther has a PhD in computer science and has more than 15 years of experience in software development. He works as chief software developer of INOSIM since 10 years and is responsible for implementation and coordination of all software development activities. Therefore he is strongly involved in all recent and upcoming research projects of INOSIM
